- Fans of the reality series speculate that one of this season’s contestants, Amber Morrison, is lying about her age on the show.
- Amber has addressed the rumors that she’s lying about her age.
Amber Morrison proved that love is really blind when she got engaged to Jordan Faeth on Love Is Blind season 10 (at least, for now, as we have to see how the rest of the season pans out). Longtime fans know that the Netflix reality show helps people find love through a social experiment that emphasizes emotional connection over physical appearance. Despite the show’s messaging, the internet speculated whether Amber had been lying about her age after memes surfaced online.
“33? You sure about that?” the meme account captioned the post, which jokingly replaced her age with a question mark and the punchline “Fixed it for you Netflix!”
The nurse practitioner, who has a seven-year-old daughter, caught wind of the post and wrote a lengthy comment to address accusations that she lied about her age on the show.
“We have to upload our IDs and passports to get on the show lol. If I look old that’s fine,” she explained, adding, “I don’t sit around obsessing over my look or comparing myself to others like I did in my 20s.”
Amber continued, “My mental health improved drastically after I stopped picking at my every flaw and developed more productive hobbies (gardening, painting, teaching, baking and most importantly spending time with my daughter).”
And she concluded with, “There’s so much more to life hence why I chose to go on a show based on qualities of people other than appearances,” sharing why she chose to apply for the Netflix reality series in the first place.
Despite her response, fans didn’t stop at the meme. They scrolled down her Instagram profile and found a post from July 2023, when Amber rocked a darker hair color that brought out her features.
While some fans claim “the blonde isn’t blonding” for Amber, others uplifted her as they pointed out the difference her hair color makes. “You’re a beautiful woman and I think this hair color makes all of your features pop! Your eyes and skin stand out with this hair color!” another person commented. “The blonde hair drains your color and ages you. Regardless you are a beautiful person!”
Someone else chimed in, “Anyone still unclear on the power of color analysis? This post is for you.”
The reality TV personality has yet to respond to the comments about her hair color, but we do give her major props for letting people know that she’s not harping on comments surrounding her age.
